A few posts back I shared a secret about my shopping habits; I am one of those people who buy a single clothing piece in multiple colors. When I saw this sweater on express.com, I immediately knew it was going to happen again. I went to the store to try it on (a recent online shopping disaster has put me off buying clothes online for a while), and they were having a special: buy one and you get another for $30. Unfortunate for me and great for you, these sweaters are now on sale for $41.94.
I really love the fit and while it seems like a lot of sweaters are shorter this fall, I don’t mind the length of this one at all. But don’t get me wrong, I like the cropped look. However, a lot of sweaters I’ve tried on seem to be this strange, confusing length that isn’t short enough to be cropped but is also too short to hang correctly. It’s an undeniably unflattering look for just about every body type so I hope the fad doesn’t linger too long.
I also really like crew neck sweaters in general and find this to be great under a blazer or on its own. Because it is rather light weight, its also great for the transition to winter and the sequins mean that you can leave the necklace at home.
I didn’t notice that the Ivory sweater had white sequins from the picture on the website, even when I zoomed in to see the details. It’s just another reason I’m glad I went to the store to purchase this sweater; not that I would have been disappointed to find white sequins, but I really did miss this detail while browsing on my laptop.
Overall, I am super happy with both and am glad that I got both the gray and ivory. Be sure to let me know if you have any sweater recommendations in the comments!
