While recently weekending, I grabbed a couple of travel-sized body butters to take with me at Ulta. I have never been a fan of The Body Shop for a variety of vague reasons that have ceased to make rational sense after trying their body butters. Not only do these body butters smell absolutely amazing, they last all day in terms of both moisture and scent. I put this on in the morning after my shower and my skin still felt ridiculously soft and fragrant when I woke up the next morning.
Like, these might actually be on par with L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream but at a fraction of what L’Occitane costs. Except that The Body Shop is using parabens in their formula.
So, while I was thrilled with this discovery, I was also a bit chagrinned. The inclusion of parabens in skincare and makeup products has been a huge source of huge controversy the last few years, I’m sure you know, and for good reason given the evidence.
Maybe The Body Shop will go back to the paraben-free formula that was once available? Please?
